Black felt, gold-plated wire, various beads and metallic threads and my apologies for a not very good photo, though you get the idea!

I was asked Tuesday afternoon to produce a small piece of art to be presented to someone of note on Monday. I had to get it done by today for it to be framed at the weekend. It's going to be in a big frame with wide mounts to make it appear very special and precious (which of course it is!).

The colours were chosen to be reminiscent of fruits - this is to go with some artwork I helped pupils at school create at the end of the summer term last year, as that artwork will be viewed during the event on Monday, and one of the girls who created the artwork will be presenting this to the celebrity visitor! I will be in school teaching ... phew!

Hopefully, I'll get a photo of it framed/mounted as well as it being presented ... and will bung them up here too.

It's taken nearly all my spare time since Tuesday. I'm absolutely shattered because I've not had enough sleep. But it's worked out fine and dandy.
